UEFN Thumbnail Checklist Before You Publish
A short pass through sizing, policy, composition, and title before you publish — most rejections and quiet underperformers trace back to one item on this list.
1 Technical spec
- Resolution is at least 1920×1080, 16:9 aspect ratio
- File is a still image (PNG, JPG, or WEBP) under 5MB — no video

2 Content policy
- No currency imagery (V-Bucks or equivalents), XP/leveling references, or "coin farm" language
- No realistic violence/gore, crosshairs on faces, or platform-specific control graphics
- Thumbnail doesn't show assets, modes, or features that aren't actually in your island
- This exact thumbnail isn't reused on another copy of the same island

3 Composition
- One clear subject — a viewer can tell what they're looking at in under a second
- Subject has strong contrast against the background, not blending into a busy scene
- Checked at actual Discovery tile size, not just zoomed in while editing

4 Title
- Genre or format is readable in the first few words (1v1, tycoon, horror, zone wars, etc.)
- Specific over vague — a number or concrete mechanic beats a generic superlative
- Title and thumbnail don't just repeat each other — together they cover more ground than either alone
